Description

Join us on May 29-30 for the "BeAnAmazingTrainer" Course, hosted by the CE TAP

The BeAnAmazingTrainer class is a 2-day intensive Train-the-Trainer experience that will teach your subject matter experts how to design transformational training courses that will leave a lasting positive impression on your clients, and help you build your business. When your trainers can spark change in the behaviors of their trainees, demonstrate that they truly understand the needs of the participants and the businesses they are serving, and help your clients see the “big picture,” (i.e. other training opportunities), then they can become your invisible sales force.

About the Instructor:

Claire Laughlin, MA, has spent the last 20 years serving employers through Contract Education. Since 2000, she has been the lead consultant for the contract education unit at Cabrillo College.

Content

Day 1: Welcome and Overview

  • We’ll explore what makes an Amazing Trainer, and how using a disciplined process to improve training design can help you achieve break-through results

Lesson 1: YOU, Your Topic, and Logistics

  • In this lesson, we explore what you are passionate about teaching, and why it matters. Getting connected to this source of energy will help participants demonstrate their passion when they are in the training room.

Lesson 2: Your Audience

  • You’ll learn to understand and meet the needs of your audience members in a whole new way, and you’ll discover the keys to true transformation. This is a “new and improved” needs analysis.

Lesson 3: The MIT and Building Blocks

  • You’ll learn to craft the “Most Important Take Away” for your class and use it as a guide to “curate” the perfect building blocks for your course.

Day 2: Lesson 4: Crafting Outcomes and Processes

  • You’ll roll up your sleeves and get specific about your course design. Then you’ll create the high-impact exercises that will “wow” your participants and create transformation.

Lesson 5: Openings, Closings and The Storyline

  • You’ll learn to open your class, close it powerfully, and tie it all together to create a powerful experience that your audience will talk about with family and friends- spreading the word about your amazing training!

Lesson 6: Putting it All Together: Nuts and Bolts

  • Finally, you’ll bring it all together in a roadmap and outline so that you can replicate your Amazing Training courses for years to come!

At the end of this 2-day experience, you’ll come away with a completed class plan for a new course of your choice

What is included? All participants will receive…

  • An intake survey prior to the course that will help them come prepared

  • The 2-day course

  • A complete step-by-step course-design workbook

Plus…

  • Bonus Download: How to Write a Magnetic Course Description (to help you sell your training programs before they are even developed!)

  • Access to monthly coaching calls with Claire Laughlin for a 1-year period

  • Access to quarterly “Study-Sessions,” which are web-based forums that answer specific questions about how to work with clients and how to build a training business
